EL PASO, Texas, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A 17-year-old Texas high school student collapsed and died Wednesday after completing the PSAT scholarship-qualification test.
Juan Carlos Ambriz was a junior at El Dorado High School, The El Paso Times reported.

Socorro Independent School District officials said Ambriz had finished taking the PSAT in the school gym when he fell on the floor at about 1 p.m. He was pronounced dead an hour later at Del Sol Medical Center, the newspaper said. Ambriz had recently transferred to El Dorado High School from California.
Police said they were waiting on toxicology results before ruling on the cause of death.
