More rockets hit Israel

SDEROT, Israel, May 24 (UPI) -- Palestinian militants fired more rockets from Gaza into southern Israel Thursday.

YNetNews reported that one rocket landed near the home of Eli Moyal, mayor of Sderot, a city that has been repeatedly hit by Qassam rockets and where a woman was killed by a rocket earlier in the week. No damage or injuries were reported Thursday.

Four rockets hit the region Wednesday night. Hamas' military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said it had fired one of them. The rocket was fired as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh met to try and come up with a cease-fire plan with Israel.

Early Thursday, Israeli forces arrested 33 Hamas officials in the West Bank.
