The Marshals Service said Bell was spotted by task force members out on a public street.

Bell's original offense was sexual battery and a lewd and lascivious act committed on a child under 16. The Marshals Service said he was living under parole restrictions with his family in West Palm Beach, Fla., until he left earlier this week.

The service said Bell was arrested without incident and transported to the Leon County Sheriff's Office to await his return to West Palm Beach.

The Marshals Service said its investigations resulted in the arrest of about 36,000 federal fugitives each year, more than all other federal agencies combined.
