HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- A prostitute turned in one of her customers after she saw his collection of child pornography on his computer, Hollywood, Fla., police said.
The woman told officers she went to Federico Amezaga's apartment Tuesday where she saw pictures of children between 3 and 16 years old having sex and the sexual assault of a toddler, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
"It' not that often that we encounter a prostitute with a conscience, but we are really glad that this one stepped up to the plate and called police," said Police Capt. Tony Rode.
After the woman fled the apartment and called police, officers went to the apartment of Amezaga, 30, and asked if they could look around.
He gave them permission and told the officers he knew child pornography was illegal.
After finding the evidence they arrested him and charged him with 15 counts of possession. Additional charges are being considered.
