Saudi terrorists identified

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Saudi authorities Monday identified the third terrorist who attacked the interior ministry last week as a Saudi national belonging to al-Qaida.

An interior ministry statement said one of the terrorists was Ismail Ali Mohammed al-Khazim, a Saudi with close links to al-Qaida.

During the weekend, the other two terrorists were identified as Abdullah Saud Abu Nayan al-Subeii' and Mohammed Mohsen al-Osseimi, also Saudi nationals and al-Qaida militants.

The statement said Khazim worked for al-Qaida as a translator and gathered information about foreign expatriates in the kingdom.

"He also took part in the killing of a foreigner after his kidnapping," the statement said without identifying the kidnap-victim.

The ministry also accused Khazim of recruiting militants and a shooting incident with police that left two policemen dead.

The ministry also identified two terrorists who carried out a simultaneous attack on a security center in Riyadh as Dakhil Abdel Aziz Dakhil al-Obeid and Nasser Ali Saad al-Matiri, both Saudi.
