Water main break snarls Chicago traffic

CHICAGO, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A 36-inch water main ruptured on the city's North Side early Friday morning, spilling thousands of gallons of water onto the streets, opening a huge sinkhole that swallowed several cars and forcing a 3-mile closure of Lake Shore Drive. The divided highway was partially reopened to traffic late in the rush hour.
