S.C. man executed for 1987 murder

COLUMBIA, S.C., Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A South Carolina man convicted of robbing and killing a mother of two after she left a shopping mall 15 years ago was put to death by lethal injection on Friday evening. Anthony Green, 37, was the second man executed in South Carolina this year and the 27th inmate put to death since 1977.
