Jozy Altidore trapped a header and slid it over to the young star. Pulisic split two defenders and jumped in front of a slide tackle. He then dribbled to his right, juking Panama keeper Jaime Penedo. Pulisic fired the ball across his body into the empty net.

The USMNT went on to win the World Cup Qualifier match 4-0. Altidore went on to score twice, with one assisted by Pulisic.

"Great build up from Christian," Altidore told U.S. Soccer after the game. "He did great to take his man on and I just tried to get into the box to get into a good spot. Put the game away. Put the game on ice."

"[The crowd] came out on a big night for us," Altidore said. "They came out and really made it an advantage. Made it a home crowd and we really appreciate them."

Bobby Wood also scored in the 63rd minute.

"I got a good pass from Paul [Arriola] and the defender kind of stepped back and I felt the space so I shot and I scored," Wood told U.S. Soccer. "It's all good. It's great but it doesn't mean anything yet. We've got one more game on Tuesday in Trinidad. We've gotta get three points and then we're good."
