June 23 (UPI) -- No. 1 overall draft pick Markelle Fultz made his first error as an NBA player on Instagram, posting a pre-made advertisement on his account.

But like his slick moves on the court, the 2017 NBA Draft prize made a pivot.

"Excited to head to (City) and join the (team name). @Tissot.us is helping me get started with my (team name) watch #ThisIsMyTime #NBADraft," Fultz posted on Instagram.

The Washington star made the error Thursday night after getting picked by the Philadelphia 76ers. He quickly deleted the post and filled in the blanks. Unfortunately for Fultz, the post will live on forever, as it was screenshotted by many users.

"Excited to head to Philadelphia and join the @sixers. @Tissot.us is helping me get started with my Sixers watch #ThisIsMyTime #NBADraft," his new and improved Instagram caption reads.

The Sixers used a series of moves to jump up and snag the No. 1 pick, previously held by the Boston Celtics.

Fultz, 19, averaged 23.2 points, 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds in his only college season. He was a Wooden Award finalist.

After the draft, Fultz did an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

During the spot, he spoke about his favorite cheesesteak places.

"It's a blessing to me," Fultz told Kimmel. "It's something that almost all kids dream of and for me to do this, it just goes down in the history book and it's a milestone for me."

Ben Simmons, the Sixers No. 1 overall pick in 2016, made $5.9 million last season and is due $6.4 million this coming season. He also signed a five-year, $20 million contract with Nike as a rookie.

The Minnesota Timberwolves made Karl-Anthony Towns the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He made $5.7 million in the first year of his rookie deal and $5.9 million last season. Towns also signed with Nike.

Fultz signed with the sports apparel behemoth before the draft. Forbes reported that Fultz will earn a maximum of $33.7 million on his rookie deal, including more than $15.3 million guaranteed in its first two years.

He told Kimmel Thursday that he's going to take care of his family with his new NBA deal.
