NBA: Houston 107, New Orleans 98

HOUSTON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Houston's Dwight Howard logged a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds Saturday and the Rockets pulled away late to post a 107-98 win over New Orleans.

The Rockets erased a 94-91 deficit when Jeremy Lin (10 points, five assists) nailed a 3-pointer with 3:39 left and James Harden (21 points) followed with another trey for the lead.

Houston then clamped down on defense, holding the Pelicans scoreless over the final 2 minutes to wrap up their third straight triumph.

Chandler Parsons put in 19 points and Terrence Jones added 17.

New Orleans got double-doubles from Ryan Anderson (22 points and 12 rebounds) and Anthony Davis (18 and 16).
