MLB: New York Yankees 3, Toronto 2

NEW YORK, April 28 (UPI) -- Lyle Overbay slammed a go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh inning Sunday, lifting the New York Yankees to a 3-2 win and four-game sweep of Toronto.

Trailing 2-1 in the seventh, New York got Travis Hafner aboard with a lead-off single against R.A. Dickey and two outs later Overbay blasted a 1-1 pitch into the Yankees bullpen.

The clout made a winner of Boone Logan (1-1), who tossed a scoreless seventh in relief of starter Phil Hughes, who had surrendered a pair of runs on seven hits over six frames.

Mariano Rivera racked up his ninth save as the Yankees completed their first four-game sweep of the Blue Jays since 1995.

Brennan Boesch also homered for New York.

Dickey (2-4) allowed three runs on four hits over seven innings for Toronto, which fell to 9-17 on the season.

Adam Lind and Maicer Izturis drove in the Blue Jays' runs.
