NBA: New York 108, Boston 89

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points and Chris Copeland added 22 Sunday, helping the New York Knicks take an eighth straight win, 108-89 over Boston.

Raymond Felton produced 18 points and J.R. Smith finished with 15 points and 12 boards for the Knicks, who won their season series against Boston for the first time since 2003-04.

Boston, meanwhile, tumbled to a sixth defeat in eight contests.

Paul Pierce paced the Celtics with 24 points and 15 rebounds while Boston's Jeff Green led all players with 27 points.
