
OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- David Lee scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds Tuesday to pace the Golden State Warriors in their 103-93 victory over New Orleans.
Klay Thompson added 19 points for the Warriors, who have won seven of their last eight starts, and Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry both chalked up 16 points.
New Orleans lost its eighth straight game.
Ryan Anderson led the Hornets with 28 points and Gervais Vasquez notched a double-double with 20 points and 11 assists. Vasquez went 4-for-5 from 3-point range.
Golden State led by 10 points at the start of the fourth quarter, but New Orleans mounted a comeback that cut the Warriors' lead to 94-98 with 1:19 to play. Golden State converted five free throws in the closing seconds to put the game on ice.
