NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Erik Christensen and Marian Gaborik scored shootout goals Thursday to give the New York Rangers a 2-1 decision over Anaheim.
The Ducks lost their fourth in a row.
Christensen and Gaborik put backhanders past Jonas Hiller in the first and third rounds of the shootout to offset a goal by Teemu Selanne in the second round.
New York took the lead late in the first period when Jeff Woywitka scored on a wraparound shot, but Anaheim tied it with 1:42 left in the second on Bobby Ryan's fifth goal of the season.
Henrik Lundqvist got the win by making 27 saves and New York improved to 2-1-1 in its first homestand of the season, one that will last six games.
Hiller stopped 24-of-25 shots in regulation and overtime before making only one save in the shootout.
