NHL: Phoenix 4, Columbus 2

GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov made 26 saves and Shane Doan scored the game-winner for the Phoenix Coyotes in their 4-2 win over Columbus Tuesday.

Doan's tip-in goal at 11:11 of the third period amid a crowd in front of Blue Jackets' goaltender Mathieu Garon broke a 2-2 tie and iced and ended the Coyotes' two-game losing streak.

Vernon Fiddler, Scottie Upshall and Sami Lepisto also scored for Phoenix.

Columbus, which has lost two straight, had goals from R.J. Umberger and Jakub Voracek. Garon had 29 saves on 33 shots.

After a scoreless first period, the Coyotes grabbed a 2-0 lead on goals by Upshall and Lepisto. Columbus came back on scores by Umberger at 11:57 of the second and Voracek at 7:51 of the third.

Less than a minute after Doan redirected his goal off a shot by Keith Yandle, Fiddler knocked in his fourth goal of the season to close out the scoring.
