NHL: Minnesota 6, Phoenix 5 (OT)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Cam Barker completed a dramatic Minnesota comeback by scoring 46 seconds into overtime Sunday, boosting the Wild to a 6-5 victory over Phoenix.

Barker scored his first goal of the season when Pierre-Marc Bouchard stole the puck behind the Phoenix net and fed a pass to the high slot to Barker for a one-timer that got past Jason LaBarbera.

Bouchard forced overtime when his wicked slap shot off a pass from Andrew Brunette with 26 second left in regulation found the net, rescuing the Wild after they had blown leads of 3-1 and 4-3 in the third period.

Brunette finished with two goals and an assist and Brent Burns had two helpers for Minnesota, which got 39 saves from Jose Theodore in the victory.

Ray Whitney collated two goals -- including a go-ahead tally with 3 minutes remaining in regulation -- and Keith Yandle added a goal and an assist as the Coyotes lost for the third time in four games.

Scottie Upshall and Ed Jovanovski also scored and LaBarbera let in six goals on 29 shots for Phoenix.
