DETROIT, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Niclas Wallin and Logan Couture scored 8 seconds apart in the second period Monday, boosting the San Jose Sharks to a 5-2 win over Detroit.
Wallin's goal 4:53 into the middle frame tied the game 2-2 and Couture put San Jose up for good at 5:01, scoring the first of his two goals as the Sharks notched their second win in three games.

Dany Heatley capped the three-goal second-period outburst and Joe Thornton also scored for San Jose, backing Antti Niemi's 25-save performance.
Tomas Holmstrom had a goal and an assist and Johan Franzen scored a goal for the Red Wings, who got 35 saves from Jimmy Howard.
