STARKVILLE, Miss., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Knile Davis grabbed a 7-yard TD pass in the second overtime Saturday and No. 13 Arkansas outlasted No. 22 Mississippi State 38-31.
Davis's scoring reception made up for a costly mistake late in the regulation time when his fumble while Arkansas was trying to run out the clock resulted in a score-tying field goal for MSU.
Arkansas (9-2, 5-2 SEC) benefited from a Mississippi State fumble in the first overtime when Vick Ballard lost the ball out of bounds into the end zone after a hit from Arkansas' Jerico Nelson.
The Razorbacks' Zach Hocker missed a chance to win it with a 39-yard field goal attempt in overtime.
Arkansas got 17-of-26 passing and three TDs from Ryan Mallett, who gained 305 yards, while Davis ran for 184 yards and two scores on 30 carries.
The Bulldogs (7-4, 3-4) were led by Ballard's three rushing TDs. He gained 150 yards on 33 carries.
