NBA: Boston 114, Washington 83

BOSTON, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce was one of six Boston players to reach double figures Wednesday and the Celtics easily whipped Washington 114-83.

The Wizards played their second straight game without No. 1 draft pick John Wall, who is suffering from an injured foot.

Pierce scored 23 points, Kevin Garnett added 18 and Shaquille O'Neal had 13. Rajon Rondo scored 12 points to go with 13 assists. Boston shot an outstanding 65 percent as a team and its starters went 35-of-49 from the field.

Washington was led by Nick Young with 20 points off the bench.

The Wizards were within three early in the second period, but the Celtics went on a 12-point run and eventually built a 16-point lead at intermission.

Boston has not lost in five home games this season.
