Boston took a 2-0 lead midway through the first period on goals by Blake Wheeler and Miroslav Satan. It was Satan's first goal since the 13-year veteran signed a free-agent contract with the Bruins last week.

Chicago overcame its two-goal deficit before the end of the first period on tallies by Keith and Tomas Kopecky. Andrew Ladd and Keith added second-period scores and Patrick Kane tacked on his 19th goal of the season with 2:11 to play in the third.

Kane has produced at least one point in each of his last 10 games -- having scored nine times with seven assists during that stretch.

Boston lost for just the third time in nine games.

Antti Niemi made 16 saves to get the victory, boosting his record to 11-2-1 in a backup role. Tim Thomas gave up four goals for Boston before being replaced by Tuukka Rask.
