NHL: Calgary 5, San Jose 2

CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Daymond Langkow's two goals Tuesday lifted the Calgary Flames to a 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Curtis Glencross, Mark Giordano and David Moss also scored for the Flames, winners of five straight home games and six of seven overall. Miikka Kiprusoff came up with 26 saves.

Evgeni Nabokov started in the nets for the Sharks but gave up three goals in the first period and was pulled in the second period after giving up a fourth after facing just 18 shots. Brian Boucher made nine saves in relief.

The Sharks got goals from Ryane Clowe and Mike Grier.

San Jose failed to earn at least one standings point for only the fifth time this season (29-5-5).
