MLB: Colorado 5, Chi. White Sox 3

CHICAGO, June 15 (UPI) -- Scott Podsednik hit two RBI singles Sunday to help the Colorado Rockies top the Chicago White Sox 5-3.

Podsednik, playing against his former team, delivered a run-scoring hit to give Colorado a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, and then put his team up 3-1 with another RBI in the fifth.

Brad Hawpe and Chris Iannetta hit solo home runs and Matt Holliday drove in a run for the Rockies, who have won four of their last six contests.

Winner Aaron Cook (10-3) surrendered three earned runs and 10 hits in six innings.

Closer Brian Fuentes recorded his 11th save this season.

Chicago's Jermaine Dye had two hits, one a two-run homer in the fifth. Alexei Ramirez had two hits and one RBI, while Joe Crede and Orlando Cabrera added two hits for the White Sox, who have lost five of six.

The losing pitcher was starter Jose Contreras (6-5).
