
DETROIT, June 8 (UPI) -- Armando Galarraga limited Cleveland to two earned runs and four hits in 5 2/3 innings Sunday in a 5-2 Detroit Tigers' victory.
Galarraga (5-2) walked two batters and struck out four, and 58 of his 92 pitchers were strikes.
Closer Todd Jones followed three other relievers with his 10th save this season.
Detroit's Placido Polanco had two hits and two RBI. Miguel Cabrera had two hits and an RBI, and Ivan Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson each drove in a run for the Tigers, who have won two in a row after a four-game losing streak.
Cleveland got one RBI apiece from Grady Sizemore and Ryan Garko. Shin-Soo Choo had two of the five hits for the Indians, who have lost three of four.
Losing pitcher Jeremy Sowers (0-1) surrendered five earned runs and seven hits in four innings.
Detroit right-handed starter Jeremy Bonderman is done for the 2008 season after a blood clot was found under his pitching shoulder.
