MLB: Philadelphia 3, Cincinnati 2

PHILADELPHIA, June 3 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning Tuesday to spark the Philadelphia Phillies to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Adam Eaton (2-3) held the Reds to three hits and one run in 6 2/3 innings. Philadelphia improved to 7-1 on its current home stand and has won eight of its last nine games.

Jimmy Rollins went 3-for-4 with a double and scored once. Chase Utley was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Aaron Harang (2-8) allowed three runs on nine hits in six-plus innings for Cincinnati. Edwin Encarnacion had a solo homer, a triple and both of the runs for the Reds.
