Weekley jumps to No. 23 in world rankings

VIRGINIA WATER, England, April 21 (UPI) -- Boo Weekley, winner of the Heritage Classic for the second straight year, climbed 24 places to No. 23 Monday in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Weekley won the tournament in Hilton Head, S.C., by three shots over Anthony Kim and Aaron Baddeley.

Baddeley is No. 16 in this week's rankings and Kim's finish lifted him into the top 50 at No. 39.

Tiger Woods holds the world No. 1 ranking by a huge margin over Phil Mickelson, with Ernie Els, Steve Stricker and Geoff Ogilvay at 3-4-5 on the list.

Completing the top 10, in order, are Jim Furyk, K.J. Choi, Vijay Singh, Justin Rose and Adam Scott.
