NBA: Washington 95, New Orleans 92

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- DeShawn Stevenson scored 33 points and hit a winning three-pointer at the buzzer Monday to give the Washington Wizards a 95-92 win over New Orleans.

Brendan Haywood and Roger Mason each had 12 points, and Antawn Jamison had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards, who have won two in a row for the first time since January 18-21. Washington also won for just the second time in its last 11 road contests and for only the third time in 13 games overall.

Chris Paul had 22 points and eight assists for the Hornets, who fell a game behind San Antonio for the top spot in the Southwest Division. Morris Peterson added 18 points for New Orleans, which has lost three straight games.
