ATLANTA, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo made 27 saves Thursday to help bring the slumping Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 decision over Atlanta.
It was only the second win in 10 games for the Canucks, who got goals from Daniel Sedin and Alexandre Burrows in the third period.
Pascal Dupuis scored the Atlanta goal in the Thrashers' second straight loss.
Vancouver faced a 1-0 deficit heading into the final period, but 6:32 into the stanza Sedin tapped in a rebound off a Mattias Ohlund shot.
Burrows scored just over two minutes later when he took a pass from Taylor Pyatt and backhanded a shot past Kari Lehtonen.
This was Vancouver's first trip to Atlanta in almost six years.
