VIRGINIA WATER, England, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods solidified his hold on No. 1 but Adam Scott, who won a tournament in Qatar, made a strong move in the latest world men's golf rankings.

Woods pushed his average-point lead to 11.02 from 10.01 with his 8-stroke victory at the Buick Invitational last weekend. It marked his fifth win in his last six PGA events.

While Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker managed to keep their spots at No. 2 and 3, respectively, Scott's 11-under-par 61 Sunday gave him the Qatar Masters title and moved him from eighth to fourth in the rankings released Monday.

Ernie Els remained in the fifth spot but Jim Furyk dropped two places to No. 6 and Justin Rose and K.J. Choi each fell one to seventh and eighth, respectively.

Rory Sabbatini and Padraig Harrington complete the current Top 10.
