MILWAUKEE, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Wes Helms hit a two-run double in the 11th inning Sunday to give the Philadelphia Phillies an 8-6 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Aaron Rowand finished 3-for-6 with three runs batted in, including a two-run game-tying single in the top of the ninth inning when the Phillies scored five runs to overcome a 6-1 deficit.
Jayson Werth had a two-run home run and Tadahito Iguchi added three hits and two runs scored for the Phillies.
Brett Myers (2-3) earned the win in relief as he allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings.
Geoff Jenkins went 4-for-6 with three RBI and rookie Ryan Braun hit his 20th homer of the season for Milwaukee.
Manny Parra (0-1) suffered his first major league loss. The left-hander gave up two runs on two hits, while walking two in one inning.
