BAD GASTEIN, Austria, July 25 (UPI) -- Agnes Szavay of Hungary dropped just one game Wednesday in her first-round match at the $175,000 Gastein Ladies tennis event in Austria.

Szavay -- seeded sixth after winning last week's Palermo International -- ran her personal winning streak to six matches with a 6-0, 6-1, romp over Austrian Tina Schiechtl. Szavay next goes against Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia, who advanced by surviving a 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, battle with Italy's Flavia Pennetta.

Two of the tournament's top three seeds were ousted Wednesday -- with second-seeded Emilie Loit of France dropping a 6-1, 6-3, decision to local favorite Yvonne Meusburger, and No. 3 Roberta Vinci of Italy losing, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0, to German Anna-Lena Groenefeld.

Top-seeded Italian Francesca Schiavone, however, had little trouble in a 6-0, 6-4, victory over Swiss Emmanuelle Gagliardi; and No. 8-seeded Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain took a 6-4, 7-5, match over Tatjana Malek of Germany.

Also collecting first-round victories Wednesday were Klara Zakopalova and Renata Voracova of the Czech Republic; Laura Pous Tio and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain; and Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina.
