MLB: Colorado 7, Houston 6

DENVER, June 7 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth Thursday afternoon as the Colorado Rockies edged Houston, 7-6.

The shortstop had a two-run homer in the sixth inning and finished with two runs, three hits and three RBI.

Willy Taveras had two hits, including a solo homer. Matt Holliday had one run, four hits and one RBI; Brad Hawpe and Chris Iannetta both drove in one run; while Iannetta also had two hits for the Rockies -- who have won four times in their last five games.

The winning pitcher was Jeremy Affeldt (3-1).

Lance Berkman hit a two-run homer; Brad Ausmus hit a two-run double; both Luke Scott and Adam Everett drove in one run; Carlos Lee had two runs and two hits; while Ausmus, Scott, Everett and Hunter Pence also had two hits for the Astros -- who have dropped three of four.

The loser was Dan Wheeler (0-3) after his second blown save this season.
