MLB: Cleveland 7, Minnesota 1

CLEVELAND, May 16 (UPI) -- C.C. Sabathia dominated for eight innings and Trot Nixon had three RBI Wednesday night in leading Cleveland past Minnesota, 7-1.

It was Cleveland's fourth win in as many games with Minnesota this season, having outscored the Twins, 34-14.

Sabathia (6-1) was coming off his first loss of the season and he bounced back by allowing just one run on five hits. He retired the last 12 men he faced, throwing 71 of 103 pitches for strikes.

Travis Hafner drove in two runs and Casey Blake had three of the Indians' 10 hits. Tom Mastny worked the ninth for the Indians in a non-save situation.

Carlos Silva (2-4) lost his third straight start, giving up seven hits and five runs in six innings. In those three games the Twins have supported Silva with only one run.
