MLB: Arizona 3, N.Y. Mets 1

PHOENIX, May 6 (UPI) -- Livan Hernandez allowed one earned run and six hits in seven innings Sunday afternoon, as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the New York Mets, 3-1.

Scott Drew, Carlos Quentin and Miguel Montero all had one RBI; Eric Byrnes had two runs and two hits; and Alberto Callaspo had two hits for the Diamondbacks -- who snapped a five-game losing streak overall, and a 13-game home losing streak against the Mets.

Hernandez (3-1) walked one batter and stuck out three.

Jose Valverde recorded his 11th save of the season.

Ramon Castro hit an RBI single in the top of the fourth, and Endy Chavez had a run and two hits for the Mets, who had a four-game winning streak broken.

Losing pitcher Mike Pelfrey (0-4) gave up three earned runs and just three hits in 5 1/3 innings, with four walks and one strikeout.
