MLB: Baltimore 6, Tampa Bay 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 18 (UPI) -- Nick Markakis hit a solo home run Wednesday to help the Baltimore Orioles beat Tampa Bay 6-4.

Tampa Bay led 3-1 through three innings before Baltimore scored two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings on RBI doubles by Freddie Bynum, Kevin Millar and Alberto Castillo, and an RBI single by Chris Gomez.

Miguel Tejada scored two runs and collected three hits, and Jon Knott had two runs and two hits for the Orioles, who won twice in the three-game series. Gomez finished with two hits.

Winner Erik Bedard (3-1) gave up four earned runs on seven hits, including a solo homer by Rocco Baldelli, in 5 2/3 innings. Chris Ray recorded his fifth save of the season.

Josh Paul and Carl Crawford had run-scoring hits, and one run scored on a fielder's choice for the Devil Rays.

The loser was Gary Glover(0-1).
