NBA: New Orleans 114, Memphis 99

OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Chris Paul had 23 points and 11 assists Saturday night to lead the New Orleans Hornets past the Memphis Grizzlies, 114-99, at Oklahoma City, Okla.

The game was not as close as the final score indicated. New Orleans, which led after every quarter, led by as much as 75-54 with 6:30 left in the third, and the lead was 91-71 entering the fourth.

Desmond Mason had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists. Tyson Chandler had 15 points and 16 rebounds, while both Devin Brown and Bobby Jackson scored 11 points for the Hornets, who have a three-game winning streak.

Pau Gasol led Memphis with 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Hakim Warrick had 14 points and three rebounds. Rudy Gay had 14 points and five rebounds; while Mike Miller added 11 points and six assists for the Grizzlies, who failed again in their latest attempt to post their first two-game winning streak of the season.
