ATLANTA, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Five players scored one goal Saturday night to lead Atlanta past the New Jersey Devils, 5-2.
Steve McCarthy and Bobby Holik scored in the first period, which ended in a 2-2 tie.
Shane Hnidy scored in the second period to make the score 3-2; and Slava Kozlov and Ilya Kovalchuk scored in the third period to cap the scoring.
Niklas Havelid, Marian Hossa, and Glen Metropolit all had two assists; and Kari Lehtonen made 36 saves on 38 shots for the Thrashers, who have a three-game winning streak and have beaten New Jersey six straight times.
Zach Parise scored both goals in the first period; and Martin Brodeur gave up four goals on 26 shots for the Devils, who have split their last four games.
On the power play, Atlanta went 0-for-3; and New Jersey was 1-for-4.
