MLB: San Diego 5, Philadelphia 3

PHILADELPHIA, July 6 (UPI) -- Four different players drove in a run Thursday night as San Diego beat Philadelphia, 5-3.

The RBIs came from Josh Barfield, Mike Piazza, Adrian Gonzalez and Brian Giles. Dave Roberts scored twice and Barfield had four hits for the Padres (45-40), who have split their last six games.

Winner Chan Ho Park (6-4) gave up three runs and nine hits in seven innings with two walks and six strikeouts. Trevor Hoffman earned his 22nd save.

Chase Utley, Bobby Abreu and Pat Burrell each drove in a run; while Utley, Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz all had two hits for the Phillies (38-46), who have 19 losses in their last 26 games.

The loser was Ryan Madson (8-6), who surrendered five runs and eight hits in five innings with three walks and three strikeouts.

Utley extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
