MLB: Philadelphia 8, San Francisco 3

PHILADELPHIA, May 5 (UPI) -- Ryan Howard and Chase Utley both hit two home runs Friday night as Philadelphia beat the San Francisco Giants, 8-3, for its sixth straight victory.

Howard had three RBI and Utley had three hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Aaron Rowland also hit a home run for the Phillies, who improved to 15-14.

Winner Gavin Floyd (3-2) surrendered three runs and nine hits in six innings with three walks and two strikeouts.

Omar Vizquel and Randy Winn homered, while both Vizquel and Mark Sweeney had two hits for the Giants (14-15).

San Francisco has dropped five of its last six games.

Loser Matt Cain (1-4) was tagged for six runs and nine hits in four innings with three walks and four strikeouts.
