MLB: Baltimore 9, Cleveland 4

BALTIMORE, April 20 (UPI) -- Miguel Tejada went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI Thursday as Baltimore cruised past the Cleveland Indians, 9-4.

Javy Lopez added a two-run homer and scored twice while Corey Patterson went 2-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI for Baltimore (10-7), which has won eight of its last 11 games.

Winner Erik Bedard (4-0) surrendered three runs and six hits in six innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Eduardo Perez and Victor Martinez both homered and finished with two hits, and Travis Hafner had two hits for the Indians (9-7).

Martinez has a 15-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in the majors.

Cleveland has lost six times in its last nine games.

Losing pitcher Fausto Carmona (1-1) was pounded for eight runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings with three walks and one strikeout.
