Henin-Hardenne advances at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 12 (UPI) -- Justine Henin-Hardenne and Lindsay Davenport both won second-round matches Sunday at the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells, Calif.

Henin-Hardenne beat Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria, 6-2, 6-2, in a match that was scheduled for Saturday, but was postponed because of rain. Davenport trounced Laura Granville, 6-4, 6-0, in another postponed match.

Martina Hingis was an easy 6-0, 6-3 winner over Sybille Bammer of Austria; Gisela Dulko of Argentina ousted Stephanie Cohen-Aloro of France, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1; Emma Laine of Finland topped Jill Craybas of the U.S., 7-5, 6-1; Sania Mirza of India beat America's Bethanie Mattek 6-2, 3-6, 7-5; Maria Kirilenko of Russia beat Shinobu Asagoe of Japan, 6-2, 6-1; Ana Ivanovic of Serbia beat Severine Bremond of France, 6-3, 6-2; and Shenay Perry of the U.S. beat fellow American Amy Frazier 7-6 (7-1), 6-3.
