UNIONDALE, N.Y., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Mark Parrish scored two goals Thursday night to help the New York Islanders top the New York Rangers, 5-4.
Miroslav Satan, Jason Blake and Arron Asham added goals, Alexi Yashin had an assist and Rick DiPietro made 26 saves for the Islanders (4-3-0). With the win, the Islanders completed a home-and-home sweep.

Jaromir Jagr scored a hat trick for the Rangers. It was his first three-goal game for the losers. Martin Rucinsky added a goal and an assist for the Rangers (4-2-3).
The Rangers went 2-for-6 on the power play and have at least one power play goal in all eight of their games. The Isles went 2-for-7 on the power play.
The Islanders out-shot the Rangers, 30-21.
