MLB: Milwaukee 7, Houston 4

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- J.J. Hardy and Damian Miller each hit home runs Friday night as the Milwaukee Brewers beat Houston, 7-4.

Hardy and Miller, along with Rickie Weeks, all had two RBI for Milwaukee, which has won two straight. Winner Doug Davis improved to 10-10. He gave up three runs and six hits over five innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Derrick Turnbow recorded his 30th save, hurling a scoreless ninth.

Jason Lane, who had two hits, homered and Brad Ausmus also had two hits for the Astros, who remained one-half game in front of Florida in the National League wild-card chase.

Losing pitcher Roger Clemens, who pitched only three innings, dropped to 11-7. He was tagged for five runs and five hits with five walks and two strikeouts.
