MLB: Milwaukee 9, Chicago Cubs 4

MILWAUKEE, June 23 (UPI) -- Carlos Lee hit two home runs Wednesday night to power the Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-4 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Lee had three hits and three runs scored for Milwaukee, which had posted just six runs combined in losing the first two games of this four-game series. Overall, Milwaukee won for just the fourth time in its last 13 games.

Winning pitcher Doug Davis improved to 9-6. He yielded three runs and six hits with one walk and nine strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.

Loser Carlos Zambrano sank to 4-4. He surrendered seven hits and eight runs over just 1 1/3 innings.

Derrek Lee hit his 19th homer and had two hits for the Cubs. Aramis Ramirez added two hits and two RBI.

The Cubs have lost five of their last seven games.
