Fraser, Havret share third-round lead

LOCH LOMOND, Scotland, July 10 (UPI) -- Australia's Marcus Fraser and France's Gregory Havret were the surprise co-leaders Saturday after the third round of the Barclays Scottish Open.

The 25-year-old Fraser, ranked 169th in the world, posted the best round of his career, a 7-under-par 64 that moved him to 14-under 199 after 54 holes at Loch Lomond. Fraser made the turn at 6-under 30.

Havret, the midway leader who is ranked just 235th, matched Fraser with a 66 that included a 31 on the front. The 27-year-old Havret won the Italian Open three years.

South African Ernie Els shot a 6-under 65, but is still four shots off the pace and in a five-way tie for sixth.

New Zealand's Michael Campbell carded an 8-under 63 to climb to third at 200. David Howell is fourth at 201, one shot ahead of Australia's Peter Lonard.
