AFC Pro Bowl team announced

NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens led the NFL with eight selections on the AFC team for the 2004 Pro Bowl announced Thursday.

Running back Priest Holmes, who leads the NFL with 22 touchdowns, quarterback Trent Green, and kick returner Dante Hall headline the players representing the Chiefs. Linebacker Ray Lewis, running back Jamal Lewis, and tackle Jonathan Ogden lead the Ravens.

Tennessee quarterback Steve McNair, who has led the Titans to a Super Bowl and two AFC championship games but played in just one Pro Bowl as an alternate in 2000, led all players in fan balloting with 896,189 votes.

New England is represented by just two players, cornerback Ty Law and defensive tackle Richard Seymour, even though the Patriots are tied with Kansas City for the league's best record at 12-2.

The Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu on Feb. 8.
