IronKey launches USB drive for militaries

LOS ALTOS, Calif., July 15 (UPI) -- California-based IronKey has launched its new Flash drive technology to support military and government markets with tamper-resistant information security.

IronKey has released its S200 Flash drive that is designed with cryptochip and anti-malware technologies to secure sensitive government or military data.

Officials say the S200 Flash drive, which meets federal information processing standard140-2 and security level three government requirements, is part of an effort to address the growing cybersecurity threat to U.S. government and military networks.

"As one of the world's leading information security companies, IronKey is continually innovating to push the boundaries of security and ease of use," David Jevans, IronKey chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Our new IronKey S200 family of secure USB (universal serial bus) Flash drives puts a whole new level of security into the hands of government, military and enterprise customers."
