Netherlands air force expands P&W contract

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., March 27 (UPI) -- Pratt & Whitney said its contract from the Royal Netherlands Air Force has been expanded to include additional aircraft-engine support.

U.S. company Pratt & Whitney said its Belgium Engine Center unit was awarded a $5 million contract to expand its engine repair work for the Royal Netherlands Air Force to include F100-PW-220 engine air-seals.

"We are pleased to continue our strong relationship with the Royal Netherlands Air Force on the F100 engine program," Tom Farmer, Pratt & Whitney Military Engines president, said in a statement.

"This expansion in support to the Royal Netherlands Air Force is due to the Belgium Engine Center's customer focus and legacy of world-class service and customer support."

The Pratt & Whitney Belgium Engine Center, located in Liege, Belgium, provides maintenance, repair and overhaul work for multiple aircraft engines.
