Dec. 5 (UPI) -- NBA champion LeBron James has already proven what he can accomplish on the basketball court but it sounds as if his new mission is to show what he can do on the set.

According to reports, James is set to star alongside Kevin Hart in Ballers, a basketball comedy for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. Hart and James will play twin brothers in the film.

Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg are producing the flick and Hart will co-write the script along with his partners Joey Wells, Chris Spencer and Harry Ratchford.

The movie could have a certain Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny DeVito touch to it (a la Twins) because James is 6'8" and Hart is under 5'3."

Here’s a synopsis of the plot via Deadline:

Hart will “star as a man who lives in the shadow of his NBA superstar brother (James), but gets a chance to prove himself when he and some pals attend a weekend fantasy basketball camp in Miami.”

James’ right-hand man, Maverick Carter, will executive produce on the film as will King James himself.

Naturally, some people are assuming that James is trying to follow in the steps of NBA great Michael Jordan, who, in addition to winning six NBA titles, also starred in Space Jam.

Not everyone thinks James’ acting skills will be as good as his jump shot.
