Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Ron Burgundy will not be bringing his salon quality hair over to SportsCenter Thursday night.
ESPN decided to preempt the promotional appearance of Will Farrell as his Anchorman 2 alter ego in favor of coverage following a development in the sexual assault case involving Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston.
Ron Burgundy's SportsCenter appearance Thursday has been canceled in light of breaking news out of Florida State regarding Jameis Winston.

Winston's DNA has been matched to evidence found in the alleged victim's underwear from an incident last December. He claims the sex was consensual, but the family of the victim claims Tallahassee police threatened to make her life miserable if she pressed forward with the case.
Florida state attorney WIllie Meggs is expected to announce his decision on whether to pursue charges against Winston in a 2 p.m. press conference. Farrell had been set to appear on the 6 p.m. SportsCenter broadcast.
