Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) recalled 12,000 of the Chinese-made key chains after the Illinois attorney general alerted the store and the CPSC that a 9-month old had been observed with one of the key chains in its mouth.

The key chains were sold nationwide at Wal-Mart stores from April 2005 through April 2006 for about $6.

Consumers were instructed to take the key chains away from children immediately and return them for a full refund.
